Fitted my Zega panniers over the weekend, only to find that when its all put in place, the abs warning light doesnt come off and the speedo doesnt work!

What gives?

I had to disconnect a connector which I thought was only powering the tail lights - reconnected but still the issue is going on.

Can anyone shed some light? Any info would be much appreciated!

Ok obviously the answers arent that forthcoming...so is there a way of resetting the abs/system and/or giving something else a bash.

Is there something else that could be causing it (non pannier related)?

You haven't disturbed or trapped the speed sensor going into the drive shaft have you. This will cause your ABS to still be lit as if cut it will think you are standing still

Agreed

I am pretty sure this will be the cause.
Reasonably thin black wire runs alone the swing arm alongside the rear brake line.

It screws into the inside of the final drive behind the wheel:thumb its both ethe ABS and the speedo sender:nenau

Shep

you guys really are a bunch of tossers! Followed the cable, found this shitty little connector thing, absolutely caked in crap. quick squidge, squirt of wd40, and we're back in the game!
