OK all those who wanted camping, I checked it out yesterday and he will be open. Its a basic campsite.

BandB all booked into "Veronica" two doors up from me. The cheapest one, but IMHO a classice BandB experience.
So thats

Jockser / r2d2 BandB Twin
Aiden1150 / Mandylicious BandB Double
gsgirl BandB Double
Kev / Mide BandB Double

Still waiting for news from Frank1200 and Pibles

The campsite is down next to the beach, a massive 1km walk to the bar, and Veronicas is about 150meters from the bar...

VINTAGE . .

. .well, I have to try & crank up the Norton for the Galway vintage rally in Cong 1st W/E in May. Hope crank up the GS for your bash after that. I'm a cranky hoor.

Coming up soonish, hope the weather is with us...

I presume most people want the pub meal in the evening so I will book it, with that bar.

Could everybody coming send me their mobile number by PM and confirm their participation of the meal. my number is Vodafone seven four two zero double four, three...:D

My son might be playing a gig that night in one of the bars, so if he does that's where I will be....

Plus is everybody happy with the idea of riding at their own pace and meeting up at each place I mentioned, its not just speed its also photos etc...(I am only on a 650....)

Lastly, on Sunday, I will plan a route to Kenmare or Ballylickey???? TBH to Cork and Dublin, Ballylickey is probably best...

Cheers guys...

Hi All, thanks for the PMs anymore not sent, please send.

Jockser suggests the drop off system...

We'll have to see...

edit, no, I have Pmd jockser and asked him to be the sweeper.

can we do drop off at own speed? i.e. if someone is going slower than you want you can pass subject to the "no racing" proviso? :augie

As I understand it the speed is dictated by the leader, nothing stops you passing another rider.. But if you are behind me and I ask you to mark a junction you stop until the sweeper catches up with you. You are then free to ride at your own speed again till you catch up with me...

Having said this a lot of the roads have grass in the middle a lot of the time, and gravel (loose chippings) and you won't be able to go "that fast".. I am known and I quote "as a handy rider" so I don' think you will be upset by my speed, I won't be stopping for photos.. But if you are disappointed by my speed you can take the lead, for one of the sections....:aidan

BTW as a damper on things (speed) there is now no "A and E" around here....

:blast I didn't mean to suggest that I want to ride like rossi or lead the group! just that i've been on rideouts before using drop off and you can get stuck behind someone going at a snail's pace and you don't want to pass in case it's seen as offensive or something like that. But as long as it's clear that we can ride at our own pace and stick to marking a junction if instructed by leader that's great.
