I hope this might help someone out as i , found it very difficult to choose
a particular brand over another..
I searched and asked , here ,Adv rider , Gs.nl. and as usual its
not a simple answer as to "Which seat"
The contenders were , Sargent ,Corbin , Russel ,
I happened on a pair of Corbins . So heres the story so far .
Initial impression of the Corbin seats .
They weigh a tonne , well 9.5Kg to be precise.
They have a very solid feel ,
The leather is of dam good quality and its thick.
There was none of the Faffing about with the front seat fitment , it went
straight on and fitted securely ,first time..Unusual for the drivers seat. The Drivers seast has the same 2 settings as the standard seat ,the lower setting maybe actuallybeing marginally lower.
The feel is very solid , so much so that ovr rough ground you can feel
every wee bump in the road..
I havent been on a long enogh Journey to comment ,but i like
the solid feel , Sorta like an Audi seat , as opposed to a Renault seat
the latter being the comparison to the Std seat. The Back rest is a No-go for me , it just doesent feel right at all.. I will give it another go ,but i think it even looks naff ! !....
As i had read the seat throws your legs outward at the base , but i have the seat on the lower setting so other than a slight "spread em feeling" i
can still comfortably touch the ground..
Billie isnt at all sure about the Pillion seat , and reckons its a lot higher
its about 2" higher ,but i didnt conform it for her. She complained for the
whole of our short familiarisation trip , "Too High "" Too Slippery""
"Not comfortable {maybe} "" . The Pillion Seat verdict is out.. Later..
If your in the Market for a set of seats , and there is a question , just
ask , i know how difficult ,the choices are ,, hence the post..
