I hope this might help someone out as i , found it very difficult to choose
a particular brand over another..
I searched and asked , here ,Adv rider , Gs.nl. and as usual its
not a simple answer as to "Which seat"
The contenders were , Sargent ,Corbin , Russel ,
I happened on a pair of Corbins . So heres the story so far .

Initial impression of the Corbin seats .
They weigh a tonne , well 9.5Kg to be precise.
They have a very solid feel ,
The leather is of dam good quality and its thick.
There was none of the Faffing about with the front seat fitment , it went
straight on and fitted securely ,first time..Unusual for the drivers seat. The Drivers seast has the same 2 settings as the standard seat ,the lower setting maybe actuallybeing marginally lower.
The feel is very solid , so much so that ovr rough ground you can feel
every wee bump in the road..
I havent been on a long enogh Journey to comment ,but i like
the solid feel , Sorta like an Audi seat , as opposed to a Renault seat
the latter being the comparison to the Std seat. The Back rest is a No-go for me , it just doesent feel right at all.. I will give it another go ,but i think it even looks naff ! !....
As i had read the seat throws your legs outward at the base , but i have the seat on the lower setting so other than a slight "spread em feeling" i
can still comfortably touch the ground..

Billie isnt at all sure about the Pillion seat , and reckons its a lot higher
its about 2" higher ,but i didnt conform it for her. She complained for the
whole of our short familiarisation trip , "Too High "" Too Slippery""
"Not comfortable {maybe} "" . The Pillion Seat verdict is out.. Later..

If your in the Market for a set of seats , and there is a question , just
ask , i know how difficult ,the choices are ,, hence the post..

Thought about using a Triboseat cover for the pillon seat?

I dont think its really that slippy ,Billie could be described as Uber
conservative . I am going to wash the seats with fairy liquid or some such,
to try and wash away the newness .

I had considered a new pillion . But gave up on the Idea . I think it would be too much pressure on me now ! .

Just remember with corbin seats the seat face is normaly leather, and the sides are normaly vinyl, reason being that the bit you sit on is leather for its wear qualities, and the sides which give and move are vinyl as they withstand the constant movement better, at least thats what corbin say. I have had corbin seats on every harley I have owned and to be honest I wouldnt change them for the world, but they do take a bit of wearing in, by that I mean they mold themselves to your shape and get much more comfortable given time. I clean mine (when I clean them !!) with a leather cleaner and then use Renapur on the leather bits (keeps them waterproof as well).

I own front and rear sargeant seats and at times my GF would slide into me, then a few weeks ago when we were going away to Ypres for a long wekend, i brought a strip of that sticky mat stuff from ebay for £2.75 so i could put a piece onto the top of my top box so i could put a bag on it so the bag didnt slip about.

Anyway, i also cut a strip to put inside the bottom of the box and whilst away i put it onto the rear seat and even when a cow ran out in front of me causing heavy breaking the GF stuck like sh*t to a blanket ( sorry thats my mums saying )

When she got off i just put it back into the top box.

Job done :thumb2

You can just see a strip on the top box.
