Kawasaki seem to be investing in electric hybrid petrol engines now, even stating that they're their future focus. Bikers tend to come one of two main camps. One which embraces development, be that petrol or electric, and the other citing motorcycle engines as the main characteristic of riding and chosing a bike. I'm in the latter camp but at the exclusion of electric bikes. I will never own nor buy an electric bike and couldn't care less if they sort battery tech out, nor what power or torque advantages they may have. For me, the riding experience is all about the engine, the noise, even the vibes. Some call it "character". I'll always have an ICE engine unless petrol vanishes from the forecourts which I very much doubt will happen in the medium term, which will see my riding days out.
