Going back to Iceland next year and we (I) decided to take smaller bikes than last time.

So I've started making a few changes to my wife's TTR 250, big tank, comfy seat, heated grips, decent footpegs, bars and risers, rear rack etc etc.

Made the seat from an old ttr base and a ktm 640 adv gel seat which I've carved out the bottom to fit in a way that becomes narrow at the front, wider in the seat and flatter to allow better movement and comfort.

Next will be making up some pannier supports.

I decided to prep her bikes like I would my own ....... and work backward from there :blast:rolleyes:

Anyway, it's starting to look something like and have a screen which may be fitted a bit later.

Looking good and sounds like a great trip, I've ridden in Iceland, but unfortunatley it was on a failed Tesco "beef" burger that had a dislike to my fat arse and ejected me at every opportunity

Nicely done as always Tim....:D

Never ridden in Iceland before, but it's on the bucket list......

Is this the start of a for sale ad, they usually start off by and feature 'that' wall :D

Ange would rather stick needles in my eyes before that bike was even considered for sale erm ... well you get my meaning, it's her perfect bike in many ways and in the fictitious world of it being for sale, I'd buy myself:eek:

Probably the best proper trail bike ever made ..... and she's bonded with it on many occasions:D

This was the first mock up a week ago and I've been giving the bruised plastic the hot air gun treatment to get the colour and shine back.
Same front mudguard as the one above.

Nice! :D

I'm very pleased with my TTR, it is the perfect trail bike. This year's important mod has been getting some lowered pegs made up.

Good idea this has only has wider pegs but 'Longshanks' will need them an inch lower ideally.

Still in progress:beerjug:

Screen doesn't look right yet but just an experiment to see if it works.
