It would appear KTM are talking bollocks about the Rs.
My dealer told me that my bike had just left the factory on 29th but would require a mod before being released but then a mate sends me a link to a thread over on Adv Rider where a guy in the Netherlands has just collected his R and his dealer got 5 in and all ready to ride.
So looks like KTMs comms are shite.
But it really doesn't matter.I'm off to meet some mates in France in about 3 weeks so hopefully bike will be here.
I've booked it in its first service over there just in case as I will be off work long term so may just keep going.........

You can have mine - as soon as KTM discount some of the new S Model 1290's
Will be popping in to Premier for a peek soon, maybe today if the rain holds off, but not planning to ride one until there could be an agreeable deal on the table.

Premier bikes are moving in the next couple of weeks to Wooton, between Abingdon and Oxford. I think it's the old Harley place they're taking on.

Apparently, the wheels on the bikes above are all matte black, not polished like the ones at the shows, so maybe the fix has been done.
