Thanks Spout a great day and a fine way to spend my first day as an airhead owner.

We came across a guy on a Norton who'd ridden down to 3 Shires Bridge and had nearly made it through to the end.he was only about 100 yards from the trail end when he need a push up a step

Not many airhead owners lose a float bowl on their first day of ownership :D

Great day out (if a little warm!). Very dry, hard and dusty - come again in winter, it'll be a bit softer on the suspension.

Hope you continue to enjoy and use that wonderful machine of yours. Have you fixed that oil leak yet? ;)

That airhead looks very like our own Johnny Boxers....has he sold it to you or are they just very similar!!!!

Great lanes by the way - I've never seen so many people on them before, pity they were all walking

Thought I recognised that bike. :blast A purposeful looking machine indeed. Best of luck and many happy days with her Wreford. :thumb2

Certainly Simon, a fine Red example I've bought from a chap in Bradford

Funny how it rides differently from the 1150 Adv - there are similarities and many differences between the 1100 and 1150 GS's

Great stuff lads, 3 shires head/3 shire heads is a lovely part of the peaks and i have rode my 950adv across there.Where the Norton got 'stuck' is the exact place i tested the tank guards on the 950adv!!:D

Big up to the Norton rider although in my opinion it's not an hard lane to do at all.

Seeing those pics again, perhaps I should have kept that Airhead:drool

she's still a delight to ride (made even better after I had the suspension set up)

She sails through the MOT as she does every year and as they like the sound of her so they don't mind me riding her out of the workshop... this year with a slightly wet and painted floor it was a full throttle wheel spinning departure :aidan
