The turnable knob on 1100 aribox?

What's that know that knob you can turn on the left side under the airbox? Is it some kind of draining button?

As Colt said, it's a drain plug to remove engine oil that has been blown into the airbox, hold a cloth underneath when you remove it to save a cleanup job.

or water if you go on one of Fanums wet runs. 1200 Gs doesn't have one though...but then it's not a "real" GS
