Nah, the CSN lyrics are totally different.

It was a Lennon song that also went by the name 'Child of Nature'.

On the road to Marrakesh
I was dreaming more or less,
And the dream I had was true
Yes, the dream I had was true

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just child of nature
I'm one of nature's children

Sunlight shining in your eyes
As I face the desert skies
And my thoughts return to home
Yes, my thoughts return to home

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just a child of nature
I'm one nature's children

Underneath the mountain ranges
Where the wind that never changes
Touch the windows of my soul
Touch the windows of my soul

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just a child of nature
I'm one of nature's children

Not sure whether this means Steppers is a Child of Nature, though. :yelrotflm :yelrotflm

Great pics Neil... I am going there myself in april...Out of interest i see you have strapped your panniers on. Have you had problems in the past or are you just making sure ?

Great write up, thanks. I was out round there last year on a biking trip, but I was on a KTM (heresy I know) enduro bike, and did about 1000 miles offroad. I stayed in the same hotel as you. It was interesting part of the world, but very strange. Men sitting around smoking while women did the work, little kids turning up in the middle of nowhere to sell me fossils, but a great time.

Having read and enjoyed this again at 4am I,ve given it a bump for those who haven't seen it before.

Is it only me thinking that all of these fantastic trip reports would make a really good book ???

After 11 hours and no reply, it looks like it.

Oh I don't know, if your sat on the bog it's gotta be alot easier to rest a book of short stories and photo's on your lap rather than a 17" screen and keyboard.

Suggestions for the title please ...

What an excellent thread. No idea how I missed it before as I surf this place all the time. I really fancy a trip to Morocco but the thought of riding down from Aberdeen kills the moment. One day........ maybe someone will organise another tour next year!!

Great stuff Neil - at last a replacement for Mike'O

Have Fun

I called on him in August having just been to Glenfiddich, very busy with B&B but also with Moray MC Club, but the GS was very much still in evidence.

Damn right too... what else has a bloke to do? JOKE!

Last time I went on an XJ900F we only did a small circle from Ceuta to Tetouan and back to Tangier and then Ceuta on a day trip from Algeciras.

It seemed the women were in trad dress and the blokes in Adidas tracksuits! Kids hanging off the cliffs at the side of the road to sell passers-by prickly pears for a pittance...... and not a social worker in sight....
