Think I'm looking for the unicorn of gloves, any help appreciated . I've been to quite a few local bike shops and searched online but cant seem to find any.

They are either thick winter gloves or have that awful lining that pulls out if your hand gets damp or wet.

I'm after a thin, short cuff waterproof glove that doesn't cost the earth.

yep that would be the unicorn of glove
the Rukka Apollo is thin leather and waterproof but not short cuff and bloody expensive
Klim Vanguard but although described as lightweight might be on the thick side

The Vanguard was fine, just the price is putting me off

Not the cheapest but very good

I got through 4 pairs of those under warranty before I gave up on them

Do a Google search on... Oil rig gloves

Rukka Kalix 2 but they work so don’t cost a tenner

Guys these prices are way out, these gloves will be for off-roading so not spending a fortune

Looking around £80 tops

check out mountain biking gloves. Will be plenty of selection in that price range

Are you worried about your hands getting wet or just cold?

One of the best solutions I've found to keeping them warm in wet weather off road is these
Tried neoprene. Sadly no good.
Not worried about the cold just fed up of getting wet hands.
I have a few pairs of good winter gloves but too thick for summer

Of course they don't keep your hands dry - they're neoprene and it's not waterproof! The point is your hands don't get cold...
