Thinking of buying but does it do this?

I've had a 276C for a few years, in fact I may have the first one to enter the UK back then and I'm thinking of something more up to date mostly because of the memory card restriction of this unit.

One thing that I would find useful is to call up a list of petrol stations ahead of me that are on my route (not detouring miles off route).

Does the 660 do this?

There are two ways to find petrol stations;

Quick way, shows the closest (not bound to your route):

You can touch the vehicle icon and get your present location.

If you touch "Fuel" you will get a list of the nearest fuel stations with direction and distance.

To get POIs along your route you press Where To and the Near button att the bottom:

Then select My Current Route

Then press Points Of Interest

Then press Fuel

You get a list of petrol stations along your route sorted by distance.

I downloaded the user manual and saw that if you enter your tank range then you can set a mileage interval for a fuel symbol to appear on the map. Pressing this shows the petrol stations near.

Well I've taken the plunge and order one from Handtec to be delivered tomorrow morning.
