I must agree. The Jameson distillary in Midleton do a guided tour followed up by a tasting comparison, it underlined the difference for me. To my palate scotch tates like someone has thrown a bit of chimney soot from an old cottage into the drink, very strange stuff indeed.

Looks like you had a good day despite the bad weather. I must admit its hard to start a ride when its lashing down but once out there its still enjoyable in places like Glen Lyon. The hardest part is locking the door and starting the bike up. :eek

Anyway you seem to have had a good run and stayed upright. I'll try and catch a rideout with you guys again soon.

HAve Fun

I've been up in Scotland for nearly 20 years and still havn't got a taste for Whisky, I know I am missing out on something but my time will come when my pallet sees the light. Until then its Lager & Lime with a Cherry Brandy chaser ;)

What a bunch of wimps...............I'm not going out it's raining  :P

Can't blame you, considering what the weather was like when I got to Dundee.

Never mind, Grizzly and I had an excellent run, via various small towns, single track roads and nature reserves, to The Glen Lyon tea room for lunch.
The broccoli and stilton soup was superb :thumb
GC and some friends also turned up at Glen Lyon and by the time we left I think there was almost as much water inside as out.
We all then headed for the A9 where we split up.
Grizzly and I took the long way back to the A90 at Forfar where we went our separate ways.
It finally stopped raining at Brechin on the way home

Many thanks to Grizzly :thumb for his services as tour guide, I look forward to doing something similar in better weather.
