Throttle bodies

Does anyone know if the throttle bodies are interchangeable with all R1150 models? I have a 2003 GS with a worn RHS throttle body that knocks like a knocking thing I was wondering if I could replace with maybe an RT throttle body? Ta!

Not a definitive answer but I've been considering the same and from eBay images the markings seem to be the same.....

Cool, thanks for that link......so any TB including 850 and 1100S.....widens the net somewhat.
Having said that my Rockster has black TB's and there a bit harder to come by, although a rattle can of satin black paint isn't.

Just refurbish your own

There's an ID or code number stamped on the tab on the underside of the TB. You must get a TB with the same ID. AFAIR an RT throttle body does not match, though looks identical externally.
As mentioned - refurb your own. The Dan Cata kit worked well for me.

Thanks for all the info' It does look like the best bet is to refurb them, I have sent a message to Cata Dan and he has replied that the kit is $60 per side and $19 postage, so that's around £60 per side.

Hi Howz,
just sent mine off to him. He turns them around on the day he receives them, so pretty quick service. At last, no ticking and in my case, from both sides.
Happy days (as long as I can set them up properly)
