Just installed the throttle bodies after refurbishment by S.E.D also new cables did not replace the junction box.
Connected everything with the adjusters slackend off with the throttle closed the left hand the pulley is approx 8mm off the stop, with the throttle fully open the right hand pulley is approx 8mm off the stop the twist grip is smooth from closed to open and returns when released
Any ideas?

Fairly obvious - you've assembled it wrongly :D

But knowing how and what you've done is just guessing

Could it be that the left and right throttle cables are in the wrong groove on the junction box pulley?

I believe that the 'top' cable comes in two different lengths. I fell foul of this with my very-early 1150 some years ago.

I don't know ?? . That's what i said about any suggestions being a guess.

Take it apart and have a look.

Mine looked shiny on the outside. Above photo was taken just after removing the junction box. Here is the other side ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354489148.757030.jpg

The second photo mine looked the same the rusty nipple is the cable from the twist grip.

Think i've cracked it when i took the cables out of the splitter the one from the twistgrip the nipple was rusted in as per the picture and had to be levered out of the pulley which has damaged the pulley just got a new splitter and when you compare the movement between the two pulleys the new one rotates approx 8mm more than the old one.
That could be the problem i will you all know when i get round to reassembling it bit busy at the mo i am sure you will all be waiting with baited breath for the outcome.:bounce1:bounce1
