Throttle overun?

Here's a thing!

Whilst riding the GS12 on closing the throttle or at least backing off, when riding fairly hard, I notice the bike actually accelerates slightly before decelerating.

Can be quite disconerting at times when precise throttle control is required. Keeps you focused though.

Anybody else experieced this?

My TZR250 used to do that, sped up for corners. I think I once read somewhere that it is common for two strokes, something to do with the mixture becoming lean for a moment.
Doesn't help with your 1200 though.

A number of people have experienced this. Worth searching the site.

The latest mapping is meant to have cured this or at least significantly improved it. It does not seem to affect every bike (mine's been OK).

Don't know how old your bike is but probably worth getting your dealer to update the computer and see if that sorts it.
