Brilliant sevice from Nippy Normans as the throttle rocker arrived this morning having only ordered it 36 hours ago. :thumb2

For the moment though, I can't work out how to position the thing as the instructions are in German and are pretty sparse anyhow. If I set it so that at say, one-third throttle (my guesstimate for 80mph cruising), my hand rests comfortably on the rocker and maintains position. But when I roll back the throttle, the rocker gets more and more vertical and gets in the way of my hand closing over the throttle, particularly reaching for the brake lever

But these have been widely praised so I am missing something here. So can somebody who has used a NN supplied throttle rocker please let me have their advice as to fitting. And what does the small 5mm rubber band that comes with it do?

Sounds like you've got it on the wrong way up, it shouldn't move round downwards once fitted.

The rubber band is supposed to go round the throttle under the rocker but to be honest its not needed

I only use mine for long slogs on motorways and alike as they do get in the way for on/off throttle in the twisties

Position is trial and error until it works for you. Mine is a bit below horizontal at rest, which is a bit of a compromise as it is lower than I would like when cruising, but if I set it any higher at rest, it is in the way around town / in traffic. I found it a bit annoying at first in normal use (non motorway) but stuck with it and hardly notice it is there now. A good (and cheap) addition to the bike:)

i put mine low and adjust it as i go, to be honest i thought mines a waste of time unless im doing 500 mile days, with no traffic jams
