Timberland Church.

Chichester cathedral has a small mouse carved onto the top of one of its pews ,

I cant remember the story behind it, it was a long time ago when i first visited it was explained to me ,

I knew I had seen the Mouseman's work on Television, now I remember it was on the Salvage Hunters TV series with Tee n Drew Pritchard.

Bill, if you fancy another wild goose run, could you do a photoshoot of Temple Bruer and Preceptory Tower a few miles to the south west of Timberland for us?
It’s a place I’ve been intending to visit for a few years out of pure curiosity but never gotten round to it. 👍
I will indeed. It's a nice place with an interesting history.
There's been some development round it recently (very nice houses) so it doesn't stand alone any more.
I'm not sure whether I'll be able to access the tower, it was always open but during a recent visit to Crowland Abbey the guide there told me that The Templars taken control of Temple Bruer Tower again and locked it.
Crowland Abbey was an interesting place as well, it's reputed to be the burial place if Hereward The Wake but is also a place of Pilgramage for Greek Orthodox Church member who now have their own place of worship inside the bell tower.
The Templars also consider it to be an important place in their history.
I'm hoping to go back there in August as there's going to be a replica of The Turin Shroud on display; if I do go I'll try to get some snaps.

This is brilliant, I did a dive into some history when I lived in Lincs. King Henry IV was born in Bolingbroke Castle.

Then there was the Kingdom of Lindsey, my favourite period, Anglo-Saxon.

Thanks for posting. (y)

I'm so disappointed in all you other Tossers.... Chimp posts pictures to see if he can post pictures. Why has everyone just gone 'ahhhh isn't it pretty'? Time was when the first post would have been 'what pictures....' with a constant follow up of similar.

This place is going to the dogs.
