Time for a 100PD rebuild

Got a few minutes on the bike again today. Electrics all up and running

Just had a quick run up the road and back. All good but for some reason the charge light came on. Will investigate tomorrow

Top stuff, hope its only a very very minor niggle.

Looking forward to the reveal photos.....

To be honest guys it looks pretty much as it did before I stripped it down. I haven't repainted the bike.

It runs great, lovely quiet engine and slick gearbox.

Lots of grubby finger prints still all over it and I still have a few bits to tidy.

I am seriously considering selling the PD. I've owned it for eight years. If you know anybody looking for one...

Nice one Rob, looks the business.

I take it you sorted the warning light issue .

I especially like the bunch of flowers you've strapped to it for your ride out . :thumb2

Top effort. A quiet engine and a slick gearbox is extremely high on my G/S wish list right now. (I already have the grubby fingerprints)

Wish I had the spare cash!

The alternator stator had screwed up. It tests out fine with the multimeter but as soon as the engine gets warm it breaks down. I fitted the stator off my spare engine and all is good again.

I have now read this thread several times for a long time , very interesting !
Thanks for all the information and the nice pictures .
Planning my to work with my R100GS this winter and it will be something similar, hope for the same good results.
Best regards från Alf in the North of Sweden
