Due to circumstances beyond my control I'm now in the market for a new lid. The last one was a Schubert C3 basic. I was happy enough with it but my main gripe was that it tended to steam up too easily in any sort of rain/drizzle.
I fitted it with Aldi's bluetooth headset which lasted about 6 months before now only working in one earphone.
So I'm looking for a flip up with a built in sunvisor/sunglasses. The C3's one was OK but I'll take one with a decent visor as well.
I'm hoping to head to the bike show in the RDS and maybe pick up one at a bit of a discount. So any suggestions?

Wait a couple of weeks as Schuberth C4 is due to be released. I am availing launch as I already have mine preordered to try (including riding). My current kid is a C3 Pro which gives me same problem as yours but I. Top of it I feel that a chin bar is a little to close to my chin/mouth. I hope C4 will rectify that.

What about the Schuberth M1. Yes, its open face but it has the communications built in which is what I quite like. Its all a matter of opinion of course

I'm quite liking my new E1 with Sena 10U module fitted. Bluetooth et al plus the benefit of removing the peak (for touring). Very quiet and now that it's worn in, very comfy.
Got mine from MotoLegends (blooming good stock, discount and service and all done by phone/email).

Schuberth C4 has same principal, difference is that it is now developed by SENA, which is far better system than Cardo. I'd wait and see what the lid is like before committing to M1

Have to agree on the Cardo system. Mate of mine swears by the SENA system. Have also found it difficult to pair with another M1 user so I'm off to check out the C4 right away......

Thks for the tip EVskij. Already started looking here. C4 Helmet (legacy) is between EURO 675 & 750. SC1 SENA plug and play either 180 or 250 depending if you go for the standard or the advanced model and another EURO 90 if you want the handlebar remote. Must say it really does look the business.

Don't suppose anyone here has bought one already?

These are not out till Mid March possibly April so I doubt anyone has got one. Speak to your local dealer as they would have attended a meeting/training in Germany I think in January.

Plenty of stuff to be googling there, thanks all.
I can't afford to wait too long as I don't have a working lid at present and I expect the bike to be road worthy is about 2-3 weeks.

I have an AGV Ti-Tech (well, 2 actually) in "Large" that your welcome to use for a couple of weeks if it gets you out of trouble.

Sorry.......I missed the flip up requirement.

You could get yourself an LS2 FF325 modular helmet to tide you over until you find the deal you are looking for. It will probably cost less than €100 and you can keep it afterwards as a spare.

Not premium by any means but don't let the price put you off.

My last one was a LS2 and I couldn't wait to get rid of it. (Red van and a back road helped! )

XL is my size, thanks all the same. (OK cue the jokes about having a big head)

Getting to the bike show next week (on Saturday) is my best shot at looking at the widest range possible and trying them on.

Thinking about it I also am looking for better side vision. More than once or twice I found that I had to shift in the saddle to be able to see properly at a junction.

The more I think about it the fussier I get.
