Timolgra made me do it

This is a cracking shot - how did you compose and shoot it - I note the dust at your rear tyre and what might be some sort of support under the right handlebar?

Well, without wishing to sound like Mother Theresa, I wanted to give something back - I read zillions of ride reports on the web, never ever do one myself, so after reading Tim's wild and wet report (or was that on a different website :D) I just decided to put some effort into one days riding and taking some snaps

All photos were taken with a 10 second timer, on a little waterproof :blast Panasonic. Mind you there were plenty of outtakes.

It makes you realise how much effort people put into these reports on the web when you try and do one of your own.

I enjoy photography and biking equally, so think my next purchase is a wireless remote. And the camera to go with it :blast:blast:blast:blast:blast

yeah Claudio whatisname. And a support truck. Fixers in the UK and at every bend. Oh no, hold on. My bad :blast, I just got on my bike and rode it

The action shots are impressive, especially if you are using a 10 second timer.:thumb You must be able to run very very fast.:D

Cracking pictures, thanks for sharing them with us :thumb2

I'm tempted to bring out my own range of "adventure jumpers" and yes it was hard work trying to make the 10 second timer. Thats why I got hot. I was desperately looking for a custom setting to change the timer to a more gentlemanly 15 or 20 seconds but couldnt't find one.

Anyway the ride down the hill was pain free and this was the first flat stretch in about 12 km where the brakes weren't on. So I nailed it

This is looking backwards, the mountain I'd just been up was behind me at this point

I screwed up a bit at this point as I headed along the flat ground between the 2 mountain ranges, although it doesn't really matter where you are going when you are just arsing about. More flat ground and more nailing the mighty DR. And because I was going reasonably fast I didn't take the correct turn to go up and over the mountain track that I'd seen from the other range. But it hardly mattered, it was a nice bit of track. And still no cars

And then I saw ahead of me an interesting gap in the mountains that I didn't know of, and hadn't seen before

So I pottered through

And anyway, it's worth getting lost when the road opens up like this in front of you

Great stuff :clap

Thanks for taking the time :thumb2

So, with that view in front of me

only one thing to do
