To The Ace and Back... The Non Circular Way Round.

What exactly is the criteria for having had an "adventure"?

I'd like to know if I have ever had one on my GS....

:P

Ever fulfilled a dream or taken yourself out of your comfort zone on your GS? Then you've had an adventure.

If it's just been a bike to do the shopping and the commute to work, then you probably haven't.

Unless your ultimate biking dream was to commute to work and do the shopping, in which case...

:upyou

All that means is they brew up tea in a cafe car park and are partial to a bit of roadkill. Look on horizons, the percentage who actually go anywhere is the same ratio as on here, and the questions asked by some of the overlanders you could even answer :D - Main difference being they sleep in ditches and feelproud about it :D

Rather than led to sleep in a ditch because you have to wait for someone to repair their bike tyre for the 10th time

**** it, I've had a few adventures without realising it was such a simple concept......

I think thats one of them, Not something Ive ever aspired to be so cant speak with any authority about it.

I am sure you never had to pay for that .. but the poor sod buying your bike off you will be questioning the definition of .. "one careful owner" :aidan

I can assure you mate that my GS will never be for sale, if you see it come up then there is a century in it for you.:)

Never worry about re-sale value on anything, cars, houses, bikes etc. Its a waste of a worry.:thumb2

Lifes to short

NIce one

Back to the thread...Great report, Used to commute a lot of that from Bromley when working up in London...The pub in New Cross had some great music in there on Sunday nights. Whatever happened to the Deptford Elvis?
Woolwich ferry was always a nice change when coming back from the East end.
You'll be ready for a few months off after that epic trip...who sponsored ya?

:D

I don't really get this if you have an adventure bike you have to go on a round the world 'adventure'

Does this mean that sports bike owners must use their bikes for sport, scooter riders have to wear parkers and cruiser owners have to be bearded outlaw motorcycle gang members and shoot each other in casino's.:nenau

For fecks sake buy what bike you want and use it for whatever type of riding you want to do on it, isn't that what the freedom of motorcycling is all about?

Says the man who couldn't ride his bike due to a blown headlight bulb and called bmw assist to get him home. Now thats an Adventure :D:D
