Has anybody found this sweet spot where the air flow above and below the 1150 Adventurer screen has created a neutral air flow, I have had this screen backwards Forwards up and down including different angles, with the screen up the airflow creates a buffeting at the top of the helmet, With the the screen as per advised on the Tobinators site this smooths the airflow but I have to keep the Visor down as the wind is directed the helmet head on
and I can feel the wind resistance on my shoulders which makes for tiring riding for any distance, any advice would be welcolme and could anybody tell me what this sweetspot actually is.

No such thing...

Depending on how tall you are and the length of your torso, your helmet will be a different height from the seat. Add in the possibility of using different screens and you have an infinite number of combinations. As long as you're getting a fair amount of air UNDER the screen, you should have a smooth airflow. Trick then is to DIRECT the airflow over the helmet, not onto it.

Easiest way I've found is get a long, straight, deserted bit of road, get up to speed and then with your left hand (obviously!), 'map' out the airflow. This should tell you where the screen is sending the airflow. If it's too low, raise the front of the screen and raise the back to make the screen more upright. Ride again and remap the airflow.

Repeat until perfect.

p.s. You may need a better screen. The Adventure one is crap - consider a Z-Technik or MRSA.
Hang on a minute - try an MRA instead. Much safer...;)

I am 6fut 4inc. and for me the tobinators do not work :blast

The phenomenon of "buffeting" is primarily caused by vortex shedding. Vortecies are generated at the top two corners of the screen. No one out there making screens understands the problem, let alone rectifies it. As said prior, the resultant forces vary with rider height, riding position, helmet shape to name but a few....
