Is that an early stratofortress ?

superfortress rear end, but someone's bolted the engines on the wrong way round ?

or are they spares cos the ones underneath are working ok ?

perhaps its for the Aussie air force ??

Convair B-36 - WAY bigger than a Superfortress, as this pic demonstrates...

Where is that ford?

I dabbled in one at Noyna near Foulridge, more an unmade road with a stream running down 0.5 mile of it.

Lots of moss on the bottom, what's the best approach, softly, softly or gun it and hope?

If I told you, I'd have to kill you  However it will be part of a run over 't moors (see here http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=21730&perpage=16&pagenumber=2 Lots moor ford pics Den, some even 'wet shots' !! )
I can let you know it was closed for a while top be 'upgraded' to current concrete base standard. Before, it was 2Ft deep river bed. I got waterlogged half way through it with me R80/7. Was up to Bev's waist when she got off (OK, I'm lying, to her knees !) Had to drain front cover and start engine to get water out of pipes ! I preferred it like that. Now I've got a high level exhaust and 'off road' bike and its been improved....life eh....
Keep and eye on the other thread and join us if you can for a day (or so) of fun in interseting locations between Thirsk and Sandsend.............I've yet to find a 'legal' beach entry point..........still looking ;)
