I have now been trying to get my Tom Tom wired into my bike for the last 4 weeks in all. I did what I thought was the best thing to do was and asked The BMW dealer to fit it, which they did, only not correctly. Now I know I am not an electrician , but I do know a positive wire from a negative. Apparently they do not.
My Tom Tom charger is now on it's way back to me for the second time, hopefully this time , all will go well. I am hoping the wiring problem is the cause.
The tom tom was wired into the wiring loom for the bmw sat nav. One dealer said that on his own bike he had connected the wires straight to the battery through a fuse.
Any ideas would be greatly recieved. Tom tom have been helpful in trying to identify the problem , so here's hoping

. Tom Tom were really good at swapping the bits and both times I had to return bits they were back within two days. Brill. I will now be taking my trade to BMW in Tonbridge. Has anyone tried this new BMW dealer yet. Just about to fit a hugger. The extended carbon fibre one from Wanderlich. I will let you know what I think.
