What tools would I need for servicing my R1200GS 2005 other than these below ? I´m just talking about basic servicing as done yearly ,,, 12000,24000,,,

I have always done my oil change myself on my cars , motorcycle. I actually love doing these things, I find it relaxing and satisfying and I like knowing my bike and its a good way to know it better. The only thing scaring me a little is the BRAKE FLUSH ( because of the ABS Servo unit ,,, )

Throttle body sync tool.

Speed Bleeders along with some special funnel for the ABS SERVO.

Torque meter with the correct range

GS911 for the code readouts.

And of course the other normal spanners and tools.

Coil stick removal tool; 100ml syringe for filling final drive with measured quantity of oil; micrometer for measuring brake discs; bmw service DVD or Haynes manual; long, thin walled spark plug socket.

A set of stumpy Wurth feeler gauges for setting valve clearances as a group.

An oil filter removal tool (cup type).

A good set of Torx sockets, almost everything is Torx. (machine mart do a good set for about £25).

Plenty of lubricants and greases, sealants and cleaning sprays plus brake cleaner aerosol, thread locker etc your local branch of Toolstation does a good range at reasonable prices.

A GS911 does far more than just rest fault codes, money well spent IMO.

I have already ordered the oil filter tool and I have the torx set, i´m about to buy some good quality torque meter ( digital )

"stumpy Wurth feeler gauges" is it specially made for this bike ?. Or can just go to any Wurth store and buy it there ?

Hammer and chisel

That's all you need.
These will, of course have to be used properly remove & refit the sump bung and the oil filter.
That's all you need. Not easy to fit the new oil filter with a chisel, but there you go.
Everything else is dangling the skeleton.

The only problem is that it would take some time to both get the tools and return it ;-).

I live in Iceland.

I just ordered the Gs 911 and the Feeler gauges today , its slowly coming together :-). Yes and the Haynes manual.
