There's a place for something to fit in the tool storage space, but not sure what it could be...

The little joker is to attach to the plastic tool box lid, to stop it getting nicked when you ride without the rear seat attached to the bike

As stated it slides into the opening bit on the under side of the tool cover. As for the empty spot I've taken all of hte tools out of hte case so have no idea but someone will... it houses a radio and autocom on my bike!

Is the spare space for a cigar in a tube that one would smoke when said repair was repaired?:augie

Seriously though, is it for the screwdriver? Where's the rest of the screwdriver?

There used to be a small screwdriver in the toolkit, but they decided someone would have their eye out with it, so it was not included on the latter models.

Anorak setting off:D

I believe later models didn't come with a tool kit at all........:augie

And your open ended spanner should sit over the little round bits that are formed in the base. Turn the spanner 90 degrees, then we can all sleep tonight.

G'night. ;) I just got a tool roll with mine. Different rear mudguard? Just want one on those ! Mine are in a leather bag.
