I've given the new ktm it's first one hour service
The next oil change is due after 4 hours. I am planning to do that after our poodle round on Saturday morning.
Things still to do
Fit mousses and a different choice of tyre, I'm am going for harder tyres.
Fit legal flexible plate with gb marking
Spares to take
Air filter
Gear lever
Front brake and clutch lever
2 oil filters
Chain spray
Oil due to the conditions I'm going for the proper stuff putoline synthetic 10w 60
Also going to swap the hand guards off my 990 Dakar as they are wrap around.
Re polish the bike
Open a beer sit back and admire, job done

Last year I used a Michelin Desert and the hard M16 mousse on the front - much harder than I would normally use - big mistake!! I had no grip or feel at all.
This year I'm going to use a Metzeler 6 Day with an M15 ('standard') mousse - the same as I would use in the UK.
Greg and I got very leathered one nightand the story goes you ate a certain "dog burger" of some form whilst on a trip, got the old squittingtons and its the end result of the shorts you had on and how they were abandoned

For sure it was Bakes that had the dog-burger and had to make a dash from Erfoud to Marbella where he holed up in a hotel shitter for a week.
The filled keks deposited behind the filling station was, indeed, Silverfish.

I see Mr bakerlonglegs had his 400 exc up for sale, I have asked him to remove the post until October 10th, last thing I need is halfpint on a decent bit of kit, got my fingers crossed halfpint will bring that old WR again. Has jagermeister purchased yet?

maybe a 690 enduro then, or the wr or 125 exc wait and see . been training hard this year with lots of enduros and practice . even been on the jagermeister road trip with more training in france next week things are looking good .looking forward to seeing your happy smiling faces over breakfast!!!!!!!
