Tossers-in-the-Tejeda IV - 1st-8th October 2011

David has just sent me this picture from 'his' boat in which has just docked in Portofino.

Wow nice boat If David can park that in Portofino Harbour I am sure he can get a 950 round the Tejeda National Park.

When we were young uns perhaps 1997 we honeymooned in Portofino, I rode there on my favourite bike below (which I still have) and wifey flew, she was chauffeured to the Splendido Hotel where the staff were very welcoming to her but concerned that she was on her honeymoon alone! I arrived the next day on my bike a bit crumpled and smelly, I parked my bike up between the other guests cars Ferraris and the like, We had a great stay, the Hotel manager spent the week inquiring who had dumped that Yamaha on drive, which of course gave me a perverse pleasure, the rest of the staff thought the bike was quite cool though.

By the way it took me 40 minutes to find that photo and post it on this forum, I feel it is discourteous to post a picture in under 2 minutes from the same hotel balcony! no wait on closer inspection I note you did not have a balcony room.

Nono, greg is shipping my bike. I have to find a way to get from barca to malaga though. Either rent a car (full insurance for flogging purposes), or fly.

Working in Brno this week, weather in the mid to high twenties and the beer is very nice. Only 35 krones per half litre (about £1.40)

Training going well, I am gradually upping my beer intake.

going to enduro practice day with daughters boy friend who is annoyingly fast, but yes last chance to "ride like a stole it" as I'm off to Spain with the tosser's in October and soon the bike will be in transit, must make a mental note on Sunday

Spare new Acerbis L/H trail mirror for dibbs

It seems that Spanish dibble are out to add to their coffers.

Here´s the advice I´ve received:

I've fitted an Acerbis mirror to my bike but have one ordered and paid for another from a bike shop in Competa (not sure why I did that!).

Does anyone want first dibbs for €18?

Final practice for Competa finished

Went up to Catsby near Daventry on Sunday with Paul, (the Daughters boyfriend) Its doing me no good trying to keep up with youngsters, can't wait till I can ride with the Tossers and chill a bit. The vid below is of me trying to hang on to the back of Paul's Honda 450 . PS There is a bottle of Jagermeister to the first person who can spot an error in my riding The Jagermeister has to be collected in person between 1st - 8th October 2011 in Competa

After we filmed that lap we went back out on the track and he finished his next lap 40 seconds quicker than me

I have considered taking him out as we enter the tree section but back here at home daughter loves him, wifey thinks he is the golden boy and my two lads look up to him
Where as I am generally held in low standing within the family unit, perhaps on a level with the dog, thinking about it the dog is probably just ahead of me. I'm sure he has a plan to usurp me but I will wait for him to make his move and keep you updated

ah he got the girls version rather than the mans 500. hmm maybe i should put the original tank back on mine so they match. I guess now he will be poncing my spare oil filters etc
