Tour Of Scotland

thanks for the pointers yodagoat. i am heading over to scotland for almost a week on the 17th May (straight after the northwest200) and have forced the garmin to note many of the places you mention. good job and am grateful you took the time to write it up. :thumb

Roll on September

Brilliant report yodagoat:beerjug: Me and my mate Matt are doing the whole West coast of Scotland in September, your write up just goes to show that you don't need to spend a fortune on ferry fares to enjoy brilliant biking roads.
Cheers mate, nice one!:thumb

Ahem,Avon skin so soft I do believe.
Or the folk who run the 'Potting shed' in Applecross do their own home grown stuff that is very good aparently!

Apparently only the Avon SkSoSo 'Woodland Fresh' variety works. I found out the hard way that without it you are just a tasty treat. I was using all sorts of deet based repellant - but all it did was to melt my watch strap. The Avon stuff definitely worked for me

Also take it with you, don't buy it up there - way tooooo expensive (selling for up to £16 a bottle last summer)
