Devon knows how....
Pair of Tourance EXP Tyres fitted to a R1200GS at Ocean Plymouth: £270 INC

Only 5 pairs available at these price.

Call 01752 202828, ask for Bill, Mark or Matt to book.

and at that price there should be 5 pairs available tomorrow too...., and next week, and next month.

Pair fitted at Alan Jeffries for 232, not Exps mind but that is apparently not a bad thing.

Bike tyres Leeds aka Sirrels, about 195 fitted to loose wheels but they will let you take your wheels off there.

Went main dealer as they were open on the Saturday I had available for the task:D

£270! :eek:eek: Jeeesus. Errr no thanks.:blast
I can get 4 tyres balanced and fitted for my volvo for £100 less than that!
What a frigging rip off bike tyres are.

Good job there's only 5 pairs available cos that's only 5 people getting fleeced. £186 with p+p on eBay, pluse £20 fitting at the local bike shop.

£270 for five pairs of tyres, that's awsome!! even for the crap EXP's..

My local tyre man supplies and fits Tourances for about £185 for a ride in ride out service. Who in their right mind would pay £270?

Tyres

Are you lot down south all Bankers Fat Cats, give your heads a shake i have just paid £140 a pair to fit myself.

I don't call them stealers for nothing.

How much are they when not on a "special" offer FFS

Seems strange to me, been unable to get a pair fitted in the southwest for under £260.00. Even the Micheldever group can’t beat this!
Best ask your tyre supplier where his tyres come from!
Not imported sh*te are they?
Why would a dealer put out such a strong price!
Quality costs or we would all have Eastern block bikes!

Ahh! that makes sense, looks like they are doing this labour free! Ocean are charging labour, this reflects the true cost! I did notice that the oil is free at Ocean and I will book a service and save money on the service.:flag

That still means your paying £75 for 20-30mins labour, I can see how they can afford to give away oil...:augie

Blimey! Seems as though my offer hasn't gone down as well as I'd hoped! Don't you lot up north know how hard it is trying to pay the rent on a second home in the South Hams and keep the kids at Marlborough college?????

Just to clarify, the price offered was for the aforementioned EXP's, not the old/outgoing Tourance tyre which understandably some dealers will still be trying to get out of. Our price also includes fitting and balancing in our lovely fur lined BMW workshops by technicians who only drink coffee from freshly ground roasted beans. Plus, you'll get the chance to talk one of the salesmen about changing your bike for a new one - when they're not off poncing (oops, I mean training) in Spain on the K1600GTL....or to be tempted into a new helmet by our rider equipment specialist Matt (who has a wedding to pay for this year).

See, all this and a set of spanking new tyres in return for just £270 - now I know why I thought it was such a good offer in the first place.

Please form an orderly queue ;-)

PS. The free oil at service offer finishes at the end of Feb but I dare say we could probably squeeze a couple more in before then - call to check with Bill, 01752 202828.

My tyre man has warned me that prices have gone up quite a bit recently and will continue to rise steeply for the foreseeable future.

He reckons across the board pairs have typically gone up £20 over last 6 months and may go up the same again in next six months, so soon £270 will be damn cheap!

Those who don't mind the mail order options may be well advised to buy now and fit later.

£195 a pair fitted in Lincoln. Put on Anakees for £194 and offered road pilots for £164! These were tenner cheaper than same bloke quoted a month ago!
