Think of buying Touratech bits like this; you don't own the TT bits you are merely renting them, at some point you will sell the bike and rob it of it's bling in order to recoup some of the money you've splurged on the new one, at this point the TT stuff will easily command 50% or more of it's purchase price on the used market![]()

End your frame paint woes
"Sadly, the paint in this area is unable to cope even with the normal amount of stress that occurs when touring and wearing road boots"

Continue your journey, safe in the knowledge
It's a sad fact that the exposed rear axle housing is invariably adversely affected when riding off-road, and often so badly damaged that it is impossible to continue travelling.

One for Bill
Riding a GS through deep water - no problem. Unfortunately not!
A small and inconspicuous valve at the cardan housing ensures the necessary ventilation and pressure exchange. If the valve gets dipped under water, moisture can get into the housing and damage the whole drive.

No change there then
When riding on wet roads of off-road, the rider instantly notices how little splash protection the GS has to offer!

I could go mad on their site, but this is one of the rare times where I shall show some restraint

It seems the paint and finish hasn't improved![]()
Or maybe they wont
I thought Touratech were in bed with BMW? If they go around saying the paint is rubbish and needs protecting, BMW will soon get fed up with themOr maybe they wont
