We still have the fat exhaust and thin side case rather than a taller narrow can and full size case. :(

Spoked wheel though. What does this say for the Adventure?

Must try and stay away from the Touratech website:blast:D

Parts for the new GS are now on their website. Wish I hadn't looked now:blast:D

Had a peek at the rad guards........pissed off (but not surprised TBH) that on the flagship 'adventure tourer', such a thing isn't in-built.

Really like the 'Expedition' sump guard....that looks dead cool, I must admit....

The extended crash bars that go over the radiator and rad protector wing thingies look good too......very GSA looking already :thumb2

I reckon with a good set of protectors like those, all they'd have to do is find somewhere for another 10 litres of petrol and it's a GSA :thumb2

I have to wonder how much of a kick-back there is between TT and BMW......I hope Rugged Roads take TT to court for anti-competition practices (oh hold on, that's only Merica isn't it :blast) as it seems a bit naughty for TT to have got pre-release '13 WC GSs to measure up and so they can have expensive bits of farkles ready to sell on its launch

Pretty sure Touratech already make the OEM GSA panniers - so they're a bit more than just a BMW bolt-on maker. A bit like AMG for Mercedes.

But if you were to commit to making enough kit, and were prepared to risk that somethings might change, requiring to re-tool, they'd probably let anyone have early access.

Touratech UK are taking the piss....

Touratech UK, heaqdlight guard------£91.05
Touratech Germany, headlight guard........79.90euro.

At current exchnge rate 80euro is £68, thats over £20 difference:eek:

Touratech uk prices between the old and new model seem comparable - I looked at the protection / crash bars section.

Up to just over £400 just on some protection bits, bar risers, and a beak cover:eek: Does anyone know if we can get a discount as members here? If not, I'll have a rethink:comfort

Has anyone ever got a discount?

Is this Touratech stuff sold thru' other distributors as that is probably the route to a deal?

It is costly stuff and in some products seems over engineered but that is not necessarily a bad approach but not needed by road biased GS's

Ant views on Touratech product and value for money?

Think of buying Touratech bits like this; you don't own the TT bits you are merely renting them, at some point you will sell the bike and rob it of it's bling in order to recoup some of the money you've splurged on the new one, at this point the TT stuff will easily command 50% or more of it's purchase price on the used market ;)

Sorry to disappoint......

What's the prob, it's all business to both parties:nenau

Discount.......................do you ride a giraffe

I usually buy in Germany and the word discount, met with a stern 'nien'

Nope, closed shop

Some is very good, others isn't

The rest of the market will follow TT and Wunderlich, after a 6 month lag

I've just call them and mentioned the possibility of a £400 order, amd asked if I could get a discount.:comfort Was met with the expected answer of NO!:blast:D:rolleyes::D
