Has anyone fitted the Touratech cockpit cover, with built in power socket? It seems a cheap option compared with BMW fitting their second power socket.

I asked much the same question for the same reason a few days ago...

I also came to the conclusion that I would go to the car accessory shop and buy a standard sized socket (as both the accessories I want to plug in have car sized plugs) then wire it into the BMW socket position on the wiring. (I prefer the socket to be off when the ignition is off and the drop out during starting seems to be a minor inconvenience...)
