I have the barkbusters and acerbis deflectors fitted and they dont offer much protection from wind and water, I need to fabricate some extensions for them.
I dont think the acerbis ones with the extensions, are any better keeping the airflow off..
what have you got on now? have you already fitted extension to the bmw one.
you could try diy, cutting up plastic rollerpaint trays or plastic oil cans.
or muffs /warmer gloves
Why waste money on 'Touratwat Tat', there are cheaper items available doing the same job......
A google or ebay search will save you plenty of wonger.

maybe a help, i used some plastic from an old black cold water storage tank out the loft, it worked a treat and all you need then is a few small stainless nuts and bolts
Cheers for the replies. Currently have the std bm ones with the twat extensions. But looking at them, their shape/position is in the wrong place to shield hands (esp.thumbs) from the wind chill effect.
Changed mine many years ago before Tourawad stuff was about too much and modified some std Acerbics ones. They are not as good as the BM ones on their own but make a great guard to put some muffs around. That way your levers etc don't get affected with muffs like Oxfords etc.
If you can live with muffs then they are tons better than handguards alone
