Hiya all, just bought me a kaeko cruise control from touratwat yesterday and fitted it today, now it has fitted no problems and although I haven't had chance to try it out yet, I can see its gonna be a big help on long runs:thumb, anyway ordered the right part(coz theres two part numbers) for my year of bike(2011), but looking at the kaeko instructions, it says you have to replace your handle bar end weight bolt to a 90mm bolt if yours is 80mm(which mine is:blast), it gives you the bmw part number aswell for the longer bolt, now the other set of instructions, the touratwat ones, say sweet fook all about changing the bolt:blast, so what do you do:blast, I rung bmw and they said the longer bolt is no longer available, I rung touratwat and they said after pausing for a while and then thinking quickly, you can still get the bolt, you get it from "motorworks", and yes you need it, to which I said, well if you know I need it, why is it not included in the kit or at least in your instruction:blast, now this is the best bit, he says there not allowed to supply the bolt because bmw wont allow them to:blast WTF!, ive heard it all now:blast:blast:blast:blast

anyways, what do people think, is it worth swapping the bolt or is it not that much of a problem, ive looked at the parts side by side both with the bolt installed and with the original end weight it is only 5mm longer(you get 15mm of thread sticking out the end of the end weight when its on the bike as opposed to 10mm with the cruise control installed, to me it don't seem worth worrying about, it fits no problems, tightens up just fine, anyone else had the same issue:confused::confused::confused:
