just got the 08 Touratech book and I've seen some goodies I want:thumb

I thought I recently read some negative comments on here about ordering from Ttech.

Anyone had any experience of any recent dealings with them:nenau

cheers

Thanks Mike,

I think that time scale sounds ok.

I quite fancy the bag that fits across the handle bars and maybe the rear brake extension.

Heine Gerick make a very good bar bag which I bought and it fits perfectly on the GS bars for £9:99. Its a black Taureg one

That sounds good and at half price of Ttech, even better:thumb2 Ill have to have a search for that.

thanks:thumb

Positive feedback

I've read the negative stuff re TT and dreaded ordering stuff, but in fairness to them they did a gr8 job for me.. I phoned and spoke to a lady "Diane". Some of the bits that i wanted were not in stock and had to come from Germany but it was all delivered within six days.. I made a cock up and ordered some wrong bits ,but called her soon as i discovered the problem, sent them back and they credited my card str8 away.. So, its a positive comment from me , helped me no end and i'm very grateful to them..

Worth bearing in mind that they do their ordering from Germany on WEDNESDAYS.. So best to get it done before that if u need the stuff a bit sharpish.

Thats good to know, can ask if you ordered on line before speaking to Diane, or did you order over the phone?

Touratech have recently moved to bigger premises, so they will now probably be able to hold far more stock. Hopefully it will put an end to some of the delivery time horror stories.

Yea - opposite the off road school. I don't know whether that's a good or a bad thing. :o

It took them two months to deliver my order, they did not reply to my emails and I found Touratech to be a very unsatisfactory company to deal with. I will not be dealing with them again. Consumer power is great.

Hi all,

I recently placed an order, after much debate because of all the negative stuff, and spoke to a lovely young lady, very helpful, placed the order on the friday, received it on the Tuesday, cant moan at that!!

Phoned them last week to confirm whether they had some bits in stock. The bits they had, arrived the next day and the bits from Germany will be with me tomorrow.

I mentioned the negative feedback to Diane and she said they had worked really hard to overcome the issues.

I think the trick is is to ring them first.....

they are shooting themselves in the foot with the slowness of delivery. I had an order which amounted to several hundreds of pounds worth of equipment, and every other day I'm on the phone taking something else off. Yesterday it was the engine bars (and extensions), because bobalob gave a hat-tip to the new Givi bars which are less than half the price, look great and they're winging there way to me as I write. A couple of days before I took the high end tank-bag off because I found a sweet looking tank bag in Hein Gericke for £14.99 which fits absolutely perfectly & costs 1/10 of the price. At this rate the headlamp protector and handguards/spoilers will also be dropping off! Come on touratech, let's have some vorsprung durch technik:thedummy...

My first order took three weeks and the second three days.

All depends if UK have the parts in stock, if Germany has the parts in stock, or if Germany makes them to order.
