Hey guys, any of you lot who have the touratech sports seat mind taking some pictures of the underside of it for me?

I acquired a damaged one for £30! but the frame underneath has been partially ripped out and bent up a bit. Also not sure if there should be something at the rear of the seat?

If someone could take several pics along the length of the underside of the seat that would be great :D

Here you go...

this is one I aquired from ebay... it has been recovered (the original material is shite)

I have 'lightened' the image a little to make it clearer...

if you need another let me know. :thumb

edit... there are two 'hooks' at the rear of the seat that fit into the frame (either side of the tool box) - the seat differs from the OE seat by not using the rear locking mechanism.... the one that has the cute little 'blanking plate' that normally resides in the tool box.... the key still releases the front part as per usual.

cheers tony, just what i was after thanks matey, Yeah i didnt think anything was snapped off at the back... but i was just checking haha.

The frames going to be a little swine to get into shape but will get there i think!. Do you happen to know any decent seat repairers? maybe the one you used or did you do it yourself? Mines torn on the rear peice of material but id like to keep the front as i like it, so am after just a rear peice stiching on. Probably some soft leather to prevent the mrs from moaning (difficult!)

Ah, maybe no.. bugger, the little hooks at the back are sheared off *didnt realise* and i also hadnt noticed that the main fibreglass base is cracked around the middle of the seat, about 1/4 of the way across... i think i can get it sorted though... maybe...

Mine was bought as is from Ebay... its the XXH version - It was recovered by the original owner because he found the original material 'impossible to clean' he also had a layer of 'memory foam' inserted. (don't you just love tossers with more money than sense!!)

this was done by Tony Archer in Huddersfield... But I think its safe to say that any 'car seat re-upholsterer' would find the job simple.
