Don't have any experience with the Touratech Spoilers.... however the principle's the same..........
In 2009 I bought a new SOHC GSA and although I adjusted the seat as high as it can go..........(due to the leg issue) and the screen as high as it could go...... height issue at 6'4" ........... I kept being buffeted by the wind.
I added a small spoiler manufactured here in SA called an Aerotrim ............ and was immediately aware of the difference with the buffeting now gone.
After 2 years I sold the bike - moved to the UK and treated myself to a new GSA from Vines...........
The ride home from the dealership was really hectic for me... something was amiss........ buffeting like crazy (
I'd not yet adjusted the screen) ....... but once home - set the screen and added the new Aerotrim that I'd brought over from SA.
Another ride a few hours later confirmed that all was well and once more the ride was pleasurable!
Did a trip with GRIZZ on his GS to France..... he mentioned buffeting on the long stretches at speed....... so once we got back home, I loaned him a spare Aerotrim I'd brought with - just in case!
He LOVED it.......... changed his riding experience as well....... and he then promptly searched for and found an Adventure screen to upgrade his GS (
he's a short shit... so the spoiler was not needed! :D)
I sold my UK GSA in October last year, got back to SA for extended visit - bought another new GSA and first thing I did was add the Aerotrim for the 2000km ride home......... an absolute pleasure!
So in short - yes - highly recommended to add a spoiler - especially coming from another tall bloke!
