Touring/Moto case keys

Hi all

I have done a search on here but not really had any joy, so have decided to post there as A. its for my G/S and B. we deal with the *ahem* older technology here......

I recently shipped over from ebay Germany a pair of G/S pannier cases, the type with the flat latch locks with the small lift up flap for the key. All locks are open and work, all are coded 064 but there are no keys (which I knew).

After a bit or internetweb search it seem these keys are quite hard to to find, anyone here know of any sources or have a spare on to sell?

I can get a couple from the states but stupid dear, and I dont want to have to change to the later tubular type locks as I prefer the OEM early aesthetic, security be dammed...

Just had a look at my key...045....so sorry can't help.

Fellow airheaders. It might be an idea to start a key register.

I would happily lend my key 045 to anybody that needs to copy that number.

Thanks for looking, much appreciated. Good idea with the register - I have ordered a new old stock 064 from the states (hellish expensive) once I have it I will see if I can get a few cut.

I'm not familiar with the exact profile you need but at less than a fiver cut to code it seems relatively cheap.

The one im after isn't a Sudhaus profile - its a BMW profile. From memory Sudhaus locks/keys are used on the Krauser panniers, which mine arent.

That's the problem.

If you have an original, getting a copy cut is easy.

When you only have the number, but don't know the profile is the difficulty.

The earlier flat Motocase keys are not easily available, and hence the OP question, and then expensive purchase from the USA.

That's why I suggested a register of key keepers prepared to lend out to copy.
