I typed out a reply and it disappeared. More than likely the batteries. Can be replaced but isn't easy, I tried it and didn't work for me. Others have had success. Loads of youtube vids on it. Can get new ones on Aliexpress which work most of the time. Have a look at the link, that may help.
Probably about right then - 14 Years and 23k Milesthe batteries last about 10 years 30k miles - time awake/mileage is a part of it as they are on more often
The ones in the Link above are from AutodocBe careful what you buy, I fitted new ones I got online from Spain. One worked, one didn’t. Bike now sold.
I have a small battery powered spot welder for nickel battery straps, if I have the issue again with my 1259 I will dremel out the old CR2023 coin cell battery from the sensor if possible and spot-weld a new one in its place.
They look nothing like the ones I had in my Hexhead. I think I still have a couple in my Hexhead parts the garage somewhereThe ones in the Link above are from Autodoc
