TPMS

Mistacat,
Thanks very much, I just sent you a PM.
Mistacat,
Thank you very much for your help today. My (£11 Chinese) rear TPMS is now working a treat after you removed the old Ser No with your GS911 and added the new serial number. Sir, you are a gentleman, if you are ever passing Ely, please give me a shout and I will buy you lunch.

OK so if you only change one sensor (in your case, your rear one) the bike will find the new sensor on it's own after a short ride. It does that on mine, and also two mates have had the same experience. If you change both you DEFINITELY need the wake-up tool and the (in my case) GS-911
I have 2 rear wheels on my GS (long story) and I swap them over, go for a ride, and after a couple of miles, the bike recognizes the different sensor.
I always use Schrader 3141M OEM units from Autodoc,. Only a few quid and you know they will work (less confident with aliexpress stuff
As you have GSA (spoke wheels?) I would also change the valve when you replace the sensor....
This may help

Just checking I've understood. The Schraeder sensor in your pic also works with our older K25 bikes?

The newer sensors seem to have a more sensible method of mounting...

The smaller Schrader does work with K25's. My 09 has them in both wheels. Didn't come with a code from Autodoc so used a wake up tool with my GS911. You need the mounting valves which are better anyway as angled, easier to get to to and won't break as easily.

I understand both types use the same frequency. So far I've had no bother using later type on older bikes... 👍

The new style Schrader is functionally identical to the old "banana style" but has a different form factor requiring a "service kit" (valve stem or screw depending on the wheel) and it is lighter. You can overpay for the BMW part or get the identical, save for the BMW logo, Schrader 3141M at less cost.

From where please ?
