Track day Fun.

My mum would have passed those dimwits on the S1000s in her Skoda ffs :blast

Pah, passing fannies on sportsbikes is kids play. Vern would have pissed on all of em with a knackered knobbly and a set of panniers on the donkey :thumb2

It all looked a bit odd to me?

At four minutes he passes a bloke on a kwak in jeans and then at 11 minutes he sits behind a K16 with a pillion :eek

track day

Is it just me or was the guy on the K16 riding like a fanny? Pulls away from the GS on the straight then throws out the anchor at the bends. I am guessing that the guy on WC did not want to force it especially as the arse on the K16 had a pillion.

I presume you would do better on 300 kilo barge and a kid on the back ?

Some nice riding from the guy on the gs.
That k16 actually seemed to be going quite well too - considering he was 2 up.

Wtf is the mega moto doing 11:57 shoots down the inside, wrong rd pos than can't get it around the bend !

A lot of scary riding going on...should some of those people be on a track :eek

A few interesting lines there. Seems like a few of them could do with being introduced to 'the apex'!

I'd have thought that was the novice group and hey, they're out there enjoying themselves.

Last time I did Donington, my bike blew up (long story, Craner Curves, oil all over the back tyre), so I ended up sharing my mates bike and riding with the novice group. I was lapping the lads at the back in a 15 min session. But as far as I was concerned, whilst some of their riding left a little to be desired, they were giving it a go, having a great time and all I had to do was make sure I gave them plenty of space when passing them.

I think I read recently that Leon Camier finished last in his first race. We've all got to start somewhere.

Anyone know where that was?

Never seen a pillion on a track day before:eek: Although my wife did do pillion for a lap of the Ring:bow Given the chance I expect she would also go on the back on a track day:)

I've had some right nutters in the novice group not giving people any room don't know why they don't move up:nenau

Dick waving. It pisses me right off.

Same track day last year, a guy on a Blade with full Rossi regalia, he was clearly a quick rider, if a little reckless and was diving under people left right and centre.

He went under me going into Coppice. I was thinking I might have a quiet word with him in the pits when I came across him and his bike upside down at the bottom of the loop. Turns out he'd gone under someone and they hadn't seen him. I reckon that was an expensive lesson.

Very true

Similar happened to me while I was instructing a couple of learner lads on 125s

We were tooling around the welsh countryside very well, doing the speed limit, making good progress.
A couple of lads on super sport something or other really carved their way through, giving no space at all bearing in mind I was dressed in instructors dayglow and the two lads were all L-plated up.

Carved between us and took off down the road. Very inelegant and inconsiderate.

1/2 mile later, both bikes in a ditch together, riders standing on the berm of the corner looking very sheepish as the plod arrived.

They were both looking ok, and they already had help there, so we rode past.

Nuff said...
