Well ended up with the one my insurance company sold as part of the package ‘Nano’ was a 100 quit on top of the premium and that included the subs . Will probable fit a bike track at a later date but gets the insurance sorted
Haven't read all the threads but I had data tool on one of my GS's. it was very good and very accurate at pinpointing my location. I received a call one morning at 04.30 hrs having just arrive at work. When I answered the call the operator asked me if I knew where my bike was. I told him that I had just arrived at work and my bike was parked safely. I didn't tell him where i was. He then proceeded to tell me that because of a unusual signal he had called me, he asked " is your bike at Stoke Newington Police Station"? I replied "yes" He then said " is it parked in a basement"? I told him that it was. The point is he knew exactly where the bike was. I was impressed and thought that if it ever was stolen I should be able to recover it. I used the bike every day even through winter so had no issues with the battery being drained by the tracker. So finally sorted a bike out , deposit paid so next thing is sorting a tracker out . What are the recommendations?
Did he say you dont want to park your bike in that shithole?Haven't read all the threads but I had data tool on one of my GS's. it was very good and very accurate at pinpointing my location. If you use the bike every day the Datatool tracker is not a problem with draining the battery - the problem comes when you leave the bike for 3 days in the Winter, the drain is such that after this length of time the battery is down to about 25% and the bike struggles to start - the drain was about 50mA Datatool claimed less than 5mA. Their customer service refused to help or replace the unit.Haven't read all the threads but I had data tool on one of my GS's. it was very good and very accurate at pinpointing my location. I want to remove the data tool on my new-to-me GSA1300 - i'm having battery issues with it and i suspect things are draining.Datatool was a constant drain on my battery which made it useless - Datatool customer service was utter crap. I removed it and binned it.
I am not certain about the 1300, but on the 1250 it is under the rear carrier - you need to remove the carrier and simply unplug it. If they have not changed the design then it is a rectangular black box - it is very obvious, you should also see a much smaller box clipped in there , this is the tilt sensor.I want to remove the data tool on my new-to-me GSA1300 - i'm having battery issues with it and i suspect things are draining.
any tips for finding and removing? - what does it even look like? for good reason there are no images of it online.
I didn't even mention it to my insurance folks and i've not paid the subscription - so if i can find it, i'd like to remove it
Dispatchers tonight, programme about stealing cars and how they end up in Lithuania. The thieves had jammers for trackers![]()
