Cheers for that lot you guys. I mentioned TC operating via the clutch because I seem to recall reading that's the way it operates on the Pan Euro.

I am asking about ASC. I'm sure the salesman (what do they know eh) showed me three settings - sport, off road (I think) and off. The loaner is an 07 GS so no ESA. I 'spose I should be riding around with it on the sport setting 'just in case'. I was just wondering wether anybody had noticed the system cutting in when they had lost traction.

I think you are getting ASC and ESA confused. ESA has settings for on road (comfort, normal, sport) and settings for off road (soft, medium and firm).

traction control? its in my right hand witch is not all it can be used for
