Transfering a route

Hey all,

I have planned a route through Spain & France using my Garmin BaseCamp software and uploaded the trip onto my Nav 5

However, upon checking the trip on my Nav 5 all the route info & roads (that I had planned on BaseCamp) have seemingly changed.

The start points, destinations and waypoints are all correct but everything else seems to have changed.

Probably a dumb question but am I doing something wrong?

Firstly
have you got the correct and up to date maps on the Nav 5 ?

And then my main suspicion is that the settings for route preferences are different on the unit to that of your computer.

The route preferences in a windows based OS can be found in edit and options

Check the boxes for the routing preferences you require and then duplicate those on the device

there is a tutorial on this site somewhere that tells you how to set your preferences, i cant find it at the moment. maybe someone will post the link. it seems someone already has.

Transferring route

Thanks chaps, not sure if this is relevant but I have a Mac (as opposed to a pc)

The principal is the same just in a different place
On mac it is in basecamp preferences

Oh and can i suggest deleting the route already transferred to the device ( get it off the device) and getting your routing preferences synced and then transfer it again and all will be well in the world
