Got an email with gpx route attachments but can't find a way to send to device..can't even send to basecamp.Rather than messing around with it for the next few hours I thought I would ask you lot before trying again.

If you open the gpx file it should start in Basecamp rather than you sending it anywhere. If not save the route to your hard disc and then from Basecamp you should be able to open the saved file. Once in Basecamp you can transfer to your device.

File can only be opened in basecamp...what I can't figure out is how to transfer file straight to device when plugged in or even how to send file to basecamp.

From memory: Open file in basecamp, Right click on the file, "send" will be on of the options and if you click on that your GPS will be one of the options of where to send it to.

Maybe...

Thanks for the info guys but maybe I am not being very clear.....how do I send the gpx file which is an email attachment to basecamp or how to send straight to device.

In Basecamp go to the file menu and select "Import into.." to select you GPX file having saved from the email to somewhere on your hard drive.

When you have the route in Basecamp you can then either drag it to your plugged in device or select "Export" from the file menu and place it in the /Garmin/GPX/ folder on the internal memory of your Zumo (assuming that it works in a similar way to the 660). Your Zumo should detect the presence of the new data the next time you start it and offer to import the route.
