Transparent Valve Covers

Pretty fugly in my opinion, but hey…

A guy on an Italian forum I am part of bought the chinese knock off of these (there was a post about it). Says the oil doesn’t stain them, they seem sturdy, but there are noise issues at lower speeds.

My best guess would be that the novelty wears off after a few hours.

I was surprised at how little oil was flying around in there, kind of expected it to be flying off the cams in liberal quantity.
 
Entertaining for 5 minutes, maybe draws a crowd if you stop at a biker place. For someone who enjoys that sort of attention, might be worthwhile. I'd always be worried about the damage if I dropped it. A scratch on metal covers is mildly annoying but won't stop the ride. I'd need some convincing these are as strong.
 
I had a clear clutch cover on a harley a few years back - quite liked the fact you see a bits moving around.
