Travel insurance paid out

I took out travel insurance with Staysure as they cover me for my bike trips took out 12 month cover and made suitable medical conditions

6 weeks ago I was In Turkey for an e-bike trip at thr end of the trip I suffered a stroke which knocked out my LHs. Eventually my wife moved me to big private hospital ( expensive). And a private jet trip back to UK. ( very expensive and supriisly uncomfortable). All paid for by Staysure. Getting permission for the air ambulance took ages and much great negotiation by my wife .

So get good insurance make a full declaration and keep an eye on your blood pressure . I am making a recovery but my biking years are probably over

Sorry to hear about your stroke and the effect on your left side, on the 21st May I too had a stroke affecting my left arm / hand, progress has been made in getting movement back due to care received by stroke team and their exercises have hope to ride again in the not too distant future and looking at a Honda 350 ADV which is twist and go, just follow all the help you can get and exercise the affected area, best of luck with your recovery, there are a few bods on here who have similar tales
