Tread depth advice

I have approx. 1mm of tread left on the centre my set of Tourance EXP's, how many miles do you reckon they'll stay safe for? Got a 2,000 mile trip coming up.

Well I am lucky to get 6000 miles on a wheel, depends on how you ride but if it was me I would change it as I could not be arsed to get new tyre when off on a big jolly

If you mean 1mm left on the tyre they need changing now as that's the legal minimum, if you got 2mm, i.e. 1mm left before they get to the minimum then dependant on riding style and type of use then a few hundred miles probably. If you can I'd change them now.

I was the same Odd and swapped out the EXP for a PR4 and its brilliant.

Just ordered a set of PR4 Trails, they get good reviews and I don't do any off-road riding.

Why ask the question if youve 1mm they are to be replaced,the amount of rain we've had recently think about traction,a tyre cannot disperse the water so quickly the less tread it has its your safety thats at stake.

Buy a new set lol after all your bikes worth say 4-5K but you want to get 2000 miles from 1 mm of tyre

Usually replace mine when down to 2mm

A trip coming up? Any doubt? Replace?

If you have to ask .... (for the OP)

Your tyres are your only contact with the real world .... they have to be in unquestionable condition

Thanks for the replies guy's, it was a genuine question, I thought I may be able to eek a little more out of them.
